| Singapore, 22 April 2026, Fulkrum visited Singapore Polytechnic following an invitation from the institution to explore potential collaboration opportunities in robotics education and student development programmes. During the visit, discussions focused on robotics-related initiatives, including the possibility of organising robotics programmes and competitions in Malaysia. Fulkrum also explored how Singapore Polytechnic conducts research projects, industry collaborations, and student development activities through its laboratories and technology programmes. |
| The visit was organised by Singapore Polytechnic and involved representatives from the institution, including Mr Chia Chow Leong, Centre Director; Ms Serene Woon, Manager; and Mr Arun Kumar, Senior Manager.IIn this meeting, Mr Arun Kumar highlighted the various R&D efforts, partnerships with industry, and student-driven programs at Singapore Polytechnic. Among the various projects presented by the school were those that made use of artificial intelligence (AI), robots, and hardware development, which involved collaborative efforts between the students and industry partners. |
| During the visit, Fulkrum was invited to tour the 5G & AIOT Centre at the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), which is one of the 10 academic schools in Singapore Polytechnic. The School of EEE has more than 50 lab facilities located in several technology clusters including Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy & Power Systems, Robotics & Automation, Communications, Aerospace Systems, Rail Engineering, Computer Networking, Software & Cloud Computing, and Technopreneurship.Among the highlights was a demonstration of football-playing robots designed by students for a tournament in South Korea. The Fulkrum team also learned about the students’ involvement in the design, development, and testing of robotics-related projects as part of their research work.In addition to that, there was a discussion about organizing similar robotics programs and competitions in Malaysia, utilizing robotic kits and expertise from Singapore Polytechnic. |
| This visit creates opportunities for future collaboration between Fulkrum and Singapore Polytechnic in robotics and technology-related initiatives.The engagement also supports knowledge sharing between Malaysia and Singapore while providing opportunities to encourage student interest in technology, innovation, and robotics. |
| Through the presentation and laboratory tour, Fulkrum gained exposure to Singapore Polytechnic’s AI, robotics, and hardware development projects, as well as student-led robotics initiatives being prepared for international competitions. |
