| Kedah, 7 April 2026, Fulkrum was invited to participate as the jury in the International Innovation Fair & Expo 2026 (IIEF 2026), organised by and held at Kolej Mara Kulim.Fulkrum participated in the International Innovation Fair & Expo (IIEF) at Kolej MARA Kulim, a 3-day event featuring over 80 innovation projects from students, universities, colleges, and industry players. On the 8th, Fulkrum joined as part of the judging panel, representing the industry to evaluate 8 selected projects based on innovation, practicality, and presentation. The event served as a platform to connect academic ideas with industry expectations, while giving participants better insight into the real-world value of the projects. |
| The programme brought Fulkrum together with participants from various institutions, including universities and colleges such as Kolej Profesional MARA Indera Mahkota and Kolej Vokasional Kulim, along with lecturers, professors, and industry representatives who also served as judges to evaluate the projects. |
The International Innovation Fair & Expo (IIEF) was held over 3 days at Kolej MARA Kulim, bringing together mainly vocational students and participants from various institutions. Fulkrum joined on the second day as part of the judging panel, representing the industry and engaging with participants during project evaluations.
Over 80 project groups were presented, covering various innovation and system development ideas. Fulkrum evaluated 8 selected IT projects, focusing on innovation, practicality, presentation, and alignment with industry expectations.
| IIEF highlighted a clear gap between fresh graduates and industry needs. Key gaps include differences in working style, where the industry focuses on group projects while many graduates are more familiar with individual work, as well as limited exposure to project management and code sharing tools. This shows the need for more industry exposure. Events like IIEF provide real feedback, helping projects become more practical and aligned with industry expectations. |
